PARKING

Parking for our patrons and employees is a key part of our proposal. We want our patrons to be able to park conveniently, but we also wanted to mitigate the impact of additional cars in a neighborhood where parking is already very limited.

We will have more than 100 patron parking spots, off the street, on our property. In addition, we will have two remote lots. These lots will accomodate our overflow patron parking and valet service as well as our employees.

Finally, we are contracting with the same valet service that provides service for the Milwaukee Street businesses. That street is home to 9 of the citiy's most popular bars and restaurants , and has NO parking capacity. That valet service has been intrumental in making sure there are no parking or congestion problems on that street despite the fact that those establishments draw thousands of people to Milwaukee on any given evening.

  1. From a business perspective - No matter how many benefits you will enumerate the overall effect of an "exotic" club in our neighborhood will be negative.
    From a personal perspective -

  2. I would like to know if you are planning to take over the parking lot on W. Oregon, behind the W. Pittsburgh building, and if so what that will mean for the residents of nearby apartment buildings who currently rent spaces in that parking lot?

  3. Do these comments even go through? I find it hard to believe only one comment to this post has been made.

Parking is already incredibly difficult in this part of town. You can't park a block away where car break-ins are running rampant. Just check out the window glass on the ground at Water and Pittsburgh!

There are over 200 hundred apartments in this area. Where will THEY park?

Please move your business into an industrial area, and keep it out of a residential area.

    Thanks.

  4. To Janeane-

I know this was answered at the meeting this afternoon, but wanted to post the answer here as well in case other people were wondering the same thing about the parking lot.

I talked with the building owner - we will have access to all the spots in our portion of the parking lot. HOWEVER, the end of the lot on the other side of the barrier (where residents currently rent spots) will not be impacted at all. SATIN customers will not have access to those spots.

  5. Regarding the non-gated parking lot on Oregon between 1st and 2nd, directly adjacent to the building, where will the businesses in 133 W Pittsburgh, who currently use those spots, park?

  6. RE: parking for neighboring businesses...businesses at 133 W. Pittsburgh will still be able to park in that lot. We will not restrict it to customers only. We do not anticipate needing the entire lot during the day so parking for those businesses will still be available.

    Thanks for the question!
